How to Add a Custom Domain in HighLevel

Adding a custom domain to HighLevel lets you host funnels and websites on your own URL instead of the default HighLevel subdomain.

Step-by-Step Setup

Step 1: Add Domain in HighLevel

1. Go to Settings → Domains
2. Click Add New Domain
3. Enter your domain (e.g., yoursite.com or landing.yoursite.com)
4. Save

Step 2: Configure DNS Records

Go to your domain registrar and add the required records. If you haven't picked a registrar yet, Cloudflare is the best choice—HighLevel has a wizard that auto-configures your DNS when you use Cloudflare.

For root domains (yoursite.com):

• Type: A Record
• Host: @
• Value: (IP address shown in HighLevel)

For subdomains (landing.yoursite.com):

• Type: CNAME
• Host: landing
• Value: (CNAME target shown in HighLevel)

Step 3: Wait for Propagation

DNS changes can take 15 minutes to 48 hours to propagate. Usually it's much faster.

Step 4: Connect to Funnel/Website

1. Go back to Settings → Domains
2. Click the pencil icon next to your domain
3. Select which funnel or website to connect
4. Save

Step 5: Enable SSL

HighLevel automatically provisions SSL certificates. Your site will be accessible via HTTPS.

Common Issues

• Domain not connecting — DNS hasn't propagated yet. Wait and retry.
• SSL errors — Can take up to 24 hours for certificate provisioning
• Wrong content showing — Check that you selected the correct funnel/website
